Gail Kaplan is a full-time attorney mediator who assists attorneys, parties, and organizations resolve business
and personal disputes. She has mediated numerous settlements throughout distinct careers spanning some thirty years.
Ms. Kaplan
has a balanced appreciation of the interests, objectives and challenges faced by plaintiffs and defendants, having spent
comparable time representing each side: 18 years as a litigator representing plaintiffs in the full range of employment
matters and 15 years as Sr. Corporate Human Resources Executive in New York and Los Angeles for Fortune 500 companies including
MGM-UA, Union Bank, and Philip Morris Corporate Headquarters. Simultaneously, she was a Consultant to public and non-profit
entities. Prior to her legal and corporate careers, Ms. Kaplan worked as a family-geriatric and psychiatric social worker.
Ms. Kaplan is a graduate of Loyola Law School, where she was a member of
the Law Review and published a nationally recognized article on employer liability under Title VII which is noted in
8 Witkin, Summary of California Law. Raised in Providence, R.I., she graduated from Boston University and
attended Columbia University School of Social Work. She has a long history of volunteer activities as a
community organizer on local, state and national levels.
Taken together, Ms. Kaplan’s career and volunteer experiences
give her a broad-based ability to facilitate the resolution of complex business disputes as well as a wide range of issues
involving persons of varied generations and cultures.
